With all the distress being caused this year by Saturn square Uranus, it’s a genuine relief when a week like this comes along where the spotlight is on Neptune. Think of Saturn square Uranus as being an ongoing pain, and Neptune being a potential painkiller: not necessarily a cure, but something that will help you get through.
On Wednesday, Sun conjunct Neptune is exact. This will give a lot of people the opportunity to smooth over a lot of the rough edges that can be caused by their big egos. Of course, dear reader, I’m not directing that at you personally. But, you know… sometimes it’s healthy to not take yourself entirely seriously.
Exact on Saturday night, but influencing the entire week, is Venus conjunct Neptune. Some sources will tell you that Neptune is the “higher octave” of Venus. It might not be too far off to describe this conjunction as “little love joins big love.” On a more practical level though, this is an excellent time to reach out to a potential new loved one, or make things a little dreamier with an existing relationship, or even make your own world a warmer and more fuzzy place if you aren’t involved with anyone. As one of the world’s greatest modern philosophers RuPaul put it, “If you can’t love yourself, how in the hell are you going to love anyone else?”

But this is potentially much more than a good week for love and kindness. If you’ve been reading my work for a while, you know that I often recommend that people sit down and think through what they want to change about their lives in the next month when a New Moon occurs. On Saturday, we are gifted with a New Moon in Pisces that is conjunct both Venus and Neptune . This may sound like a fairly lightweight aspect, but depending on what house of your birth chart 23° Pisces falls into, this New Moon could open a gateway of healing and empathy and kindness into whatever house of your birth chart is involved. Also, pay attention to any planets or important placements in your birth chart that are close to aspecting 20 degrees Neptune. You could be facing the reward of having Neptune at that degree for a long time now in the next month.
So: sink down deep into this warm bath of a transit, and figure out what it is that you really need from life and what you can do to get it. Enjoy it while it lasts, because next week is all Mars and Pluto news, and it’s back to the grind for all of us…
