We find ourselves living in strange times of late, so it shouldn’t be too surprising that this week’s horoscope is going to be a little different than usual. Rather than simply discussing the effects of each individual transit this week and leaving things at that, I’m going to give a brief treatment for each of the major aspects — and then pull back and tell you the bigger picture that I’m seeing in all this.
The week starts with two significant aspects that will have a strong effect on your human relations. One of them is going to be much easier to deal with than the other. First of all, Venus sextile Neptune, which is exactly as fuzzy and wonderful as it sounds. Monday is also the day when Mars conjunct Pluto is exact. That aspect, on the other hand, has a much more aggressive nature to it. It’s the sort of thing that can be funnelled into sexual energy, but too often ends up in brawling.
Venus is not exactly about to give up without a fight, though. On Saturday, Venus is trine Jupiter, and on Saturday night Venus trine Pluto is exact. These two aspects fill the entire second half of the week with a warm and loving optimism, and yet one that is able to roll with the punches when it needs to.
So how does all this come together? It’s on Tuesday, with the New Moon in Aries.
If you’ve read my work here for long, you know I’m always preaching about how a New Moon is an opportunity to make things start going the way you want them to in the next month. Aries represents the heroic energy needed to overcome all obstacles.
…and here so many of us are, in one form or another, in quarantine.
What does this imply for a “Love Horoscope” like this one? It’s not like I can tell you that Saturday is a great night for a hot date, then send you out to a bar that is closed. I’m not likely to tell you to meet with someone you met online, only to attempt that first kiss while wearing a surgical mask.
I think the big lesson from this week’s transits is that we, as individuals and as a collective, need to expand our circle of who we love and how we love them. This, perhaps, will be the big lesson from Saturn in Aquarius. Even if we are physically separated from each other, we have never been more connected, thanks to technology. We now face a choice. We can spread our outrage and anger and hatred across Facebook and Twitter and make our isolated lives worse. Or — we can work with the energies of this week in particular and focus on making the world a better, connected place.
Choose your adventure wisely.
