It’s at times like this that I need to remind both myself and my readers that astrology is not fatalistic. It’s like a weather forecast. If your local weatherman says that there is a 75% chance of rain this weekend, you might want to rethink your plans for the company picnic. When difficult transits happen, it doesn’t mean that everything goes wrong for everyone all the time. I particularly need to remind myself (and you, Dear Reader) of this principle this week. Mars in Leo took a beating last week being both opposite Saturn and square Uranus. In fact, Mars square Uranus is still going to be in effect throughout the first part of this week, so remember to keep an eye on your temper and where you invest your sex drive.
Anyway, about that forecast. What happened to Mars last week is about to happen to Venus this week, and throughout next week. I’m sorry, people. Honestly, I wish there was something I could do, but I can’t go out there and move the planets around by myself. Okay. Jeez. Don’t blame me. Can you tell I’m getting a little tired of all the lousy love and romance transits happening recently?
Did it seem to you like I was rambling a little too much during the last couple of paragraphs? Perhaps that’s because of Mercury square Neptune, which is exact on Tuesday. Trust me, you’re going to be rambling too, so be careful to organize your thoughts before you spout off at someone. Writing and proofreading could be especially challenging this week.
The one planetary aspect that has the most influence on love and romance this week is exact Tuesday night. That’s when Venus opposite Saturn is exact. That’s going to make this week kind of feel chilly and distant for many of us and our relationships. This isn’t necessarily a deal-breaker when it comes to new or existing relationships, but it’s a much better time for working on the foundations and not jumping to any conclusions or jumping into any beds too quickly. You’re more likely to be hanging a “Closed for Maintenance” sign on your bedroom door than one which says “Do Not Disturb.”
There is one glimmer of hope of this week for your love life, however. The second half of this week we’ll definitely be feeling the influence of Venus square Uranus, which is exact on Thursday. Although the square aspect is pretty unsettling and unstable — and Uranus is the planet of “unsettling and unstable” — the agitation this aspect brings might be exactly the thing you need to break the spell of Venus opposite Saturn. At the very least, whatever results you get probably won’t be boring. Hey, what’s a love life if it’s boring, right?
